Hall of Happiness<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

May the joy that is everlasting gather in this hall.
Not the joy of a sumptuous feast, which slips away even as we leave the table; nor that which music brings.
It is only of a limited duration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beauty and a pretty face are like flowers;
they bloom for a while, then die.
Even our youth slips swiftly away and is gone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No, enduring happiness is not in these,
nor in the three joys of Jung Kung.
We may as well forget them, for the joy I mean is worlds away from these.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is the joy of continuous growth, of helping to develop in ourselves and others the talents and abilities with which we were born
\u2014 the gifts of heaven to mortal men.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is to revive the exhausted and to rejuvenate that which is in decline, so that we are enabled to dispel sickness and suffering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let true affection and happy concourse abide in this hall.
Let us here correct our past mistakes and lose preoccupation with self. With the constancy of the planets in their courses
or of the dragon in his cloud wrapped path,
let us enter the land of health and ever after walk within its bounds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let us fortify ourselves against weakness and learn to be self reliant, without ever a moment’s lapse.
Then our resolution will become the very air we breathe, the world we live in;
then we will be as happy as a fish in crystal waters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is the joy which lasts, that we can carry with us to the end of our days.
And tell me, if you can; what greater happiness can life bestow?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ruimte van vreugde<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Moge de vreugde die eeuwig is zich verzamelen in deze zaal.
Niet de vreugde van een weelderig feestmaal, die verdwijnt terwijl we de tafel verlaten; noch de vreugde die muziek brengt.
Die vreugde is slechts van beperkte duur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Schoonheid en een mooi gezicht zijn als bloemen;
ze bloeien een tijdje en gaan dan dood.
Zelfs onze jeugd glijdt snel weg en is voorbij.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nee, blijvend geluk zit niet in deze,
noch in de drie vreugden van Jung Kung.
We kunnen ze net zo goed vergeten, want de vreugde die ik bedoel is werelden ver weg van deze.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Het is de vreugde van voortdurende groei, het helpen ontwikkelen, in onszelf en de anderen, van de aangeboren talenten en vermogens
–  de gaven van de hemel aan sterfelijke mensen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Het is om het uitgeputte nieuw leven in te blazen en om wat in verval is te verjongen, zodat we in staat zijn om ziekte en lijden te verdrijven.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Laat ware genegenheid en gelukkige samenkomst in deze zaal verblijven. Laten we hier onze fouten uit het verleden corrigeren en onze obsessie met onszelf verliezen.
Met de standvastigheid van de planeten in hun baan of van de draak in zijn wolken gewikkeld pad, laten we het land van gezondheid binnengaan en altijd binnen zijn grenzen blijven.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Laten we ons versterken tegen zwakheid en leren om op onszelf te vertrouwen, zonder ooit te tanen
Dan zal onze vastberadenheid de lucht worden die we inademen, de wereld waarin we leven;
dan zullen we zo gelukkig zijn als een vis in kristalwater.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dit is de vreugde die blijvend is, die we tot het einde van onze dagen met ons mee kunnen dragen. En zeg me, als je kunt, welk groter geluk kan het leven jouw schenken?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
